Abstract

PURPOSE: To enchance versatility of a line by arranging between a pair of conveyors an inversion drum provided at its end with a freely projectable and retreatable stopper and retreating the stopper when conveying a panel which does not need inversion so that the pahel may be conveyed without inversion.
CONSTITUTION: An inversion drum C is arranged between a carry-in converyor D and a carry-out conveyor E which succeed to a surface treatment step for panels. When a panel requiring inversion is fed, a stopper B in the rear of the drum C is moved to the projected position by means of a cylinder or the like and stops the panel while nipping the panel between it and a conveyor A. Then the drum C is inverted about a shaft 5, and the inverted panel is fed out into the conveyor E. When a panel which does not need inversion is fed, the stopper B is moved to the retreated position so that the panel is transfered drom the conveyor D to the conveyor E through the conveyor A without inversion.
