Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A hermetically sealed type auxiliary tank 10 is provided besides a water tank 4 and, to a water tank cover 3, a methane gas taking-out pipe 5 and an arranged pipe 11 of one way passage for sending methane gas into the auxiliary tank 10 when the gas pressure within the water tank cover exceeds a definete pressure is provided as well as an arranged pipe 11' of one way passage within the auxiliary tank 10 for sending out methane gas therein is provided to construct a methane gas generating apparatus. When methane gas is succeedingly generated and the gas pressure exceeds a predetermined pressure, a bleed valve 12 is operated to send methane gas into the auxiliary tank 10. Methane gas is supplied from either one of the water tank cover 3 or the auxiliary tank 10 having higher gas pressure than another.
