Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the image display device by disposing the magnetic lines for selectively inverting the magnetic pieces of different colors on the front and back to the magnetic type image display element comprising by dispersing the said magnetic pieces in light-transmittable liquid and sealing the same in a case having plural blocks.
CONSTITUTION: Multiple magnetic pieces 5 which are black on the front 5a, are white on the back 5b and are made to N-pole on the front 5a side are dispersed into light-transmittable liquid 6 and this is put in a case 4 having multiple independent recesses 4a at one face and the case 4 is hermetically sealed by a transparent sheet 7, whereby the image display element 8 is formed. Next, the ends on one side of magnetic lines 10aW10e of high-magnetic permeability material are contact-disposed in the respective recesses 4a (for example, 5 pieces) of the element 8 and the ends on the other side are disposed to a panel 1 like, for example, the black dots of the figure. If in the above-mentioned device the entire part of the top surface of the element 8 is displayed white by letting the S-pole of the permanent magnet contact the C-position of the panel 11 first then the N-pole of the permanent magnet is placed in the A-position of the panel 11, the top surface of the element 8 corresponding to the recesses 4a connecting to the magnetic lines 10a, 10c, 10e is displayed black.
