Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the compactification and cost reduction of the device by suitably changing the focal length of an in-mirror lens along with the dislacement of the in-mirror lens holding base having the optical axis direction of the in-mirror lens as its moving components at the time of changing copying mangification.
CONSTITUTION: The optical drive wire 20 from one end 21 of a base 19 is inverted by a movable pulley 16, is wound by required number of turns on a drive pulley 17, and goes toward the driven pulley 18 on the opposite side. At the ordinary copying, the reversible revolutions of the drive pulley 17 cause the 1st mirror 11 and the 2nd mirror 12 to perform scanning parallel to an original platen 10 at the speed ratio of 2:1. At the varied magnfication, for example, at the scale-down, the table 19 displaces by the specified amount in the arrow A direction, causing the 2nd mirror 12 to displace in the same direction by half as much as that of the in-mirror lens 14. Also, the focal length of the lens 14 is suitably changed by the drive system. After this, the speed of the 1st reflecting mirror 11 and the 2nd reflecting mirror 12 becomes the speed inverse times the copying magnification as compared to that at the equal magnification, thus the scanning is done at a speed of 2:1.
