Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In a honing device for use in honing the inner surface of a work 8 with stick type grindstones 6, a lower portion of a main body 2 of an internal honing head 1 is extended to form a tail portion 12. The tail portion 12 which is moved up and down in accordance with the honing head 1 is guided by a guide block 11 provided at a lower surface of a base 9 for the internal honing head 1. Since the tail portion 12 is guided in the above-mentioned manner, the perpendicularity of the inner surface of the work 8 can be maintained at a high accuracy, and the honing head 1 can be prevented from being deformed.
