Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce the titled panel with a uniform thickness by a method wherein a creamy urethane stock solution is cast into recessed portions on the back face of an embossed metal plate, the solution is pressed through back-face paper, and the solution is foamed.
CONSTITUTION: A metal plate 2' is embossed to form recessed portions 19a and projected portions 19b at that portion which will become the back face after production of a panel. A creamy urethane stock solution 18 is cast onto the metal plate 2' from a nozzle 21, a sheet of back-face paper 11 is immediately fed and laid on the solution 18, and the assembly is pressed between nip rolls 12, to fill the solution 18 in the recessed portions 19a and coat it on the projected portions 19b as a thin film. After the thus obtained assembly is introduced into a curing furnace and foamed, both end portions of the metal plate 2' are bent by a secondary forming roll 16, and further bent to hold both the side portions of the polyurethane layer 30 filled and foamed on the inside of the end portions, and then cut to the predetermined size by a cutter.
