Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the disengagement of the copying material under conveying from its gripper by detecting whether the copying material is surely gripped by the gripper or not and controlling the copying process in the copying machine of the type of gripping the copying material by the gripper and conveying the same.
CONSTITUTION: During normal feeding, copying material P (P') abuts against a static timing roller 51 and makes a deflection. This causes a microswitch 103 to actuate to revolve a timing roller 51 which in turn causes the leading end of the copying material P (P') to abut against the stopper part of a gripper 53. At this time, these is no more deflection of the copying material P (P') and the operation of the microswitch 103 is stopped to stop the timing roller 51. At the time of abnormal feeding, the deflection of the copying material P (P') is not enough and the timing roller 51 fails to operate normally and when the material is not gripped surely by the gripper 53, the microswitch 103 is not normally actuated. At that time, a solenoid SL lets a guide plate 101 to rotate up to the place of the dotted line and drop the copying material P (P') onto a tray 105.
