Abstract
PURPOSE:To make ignitions of thyristors occurring simultaneously by a system wherein two discharging circuits having a different oscillation period are connected in parallel on primary side of a gate transformer of thyristors, and they are discharged to ignition. CONSTITUTION:A secondary side coil of gate transformers 7, 7<1>-7<n> is connected to a gate of thyristors 8, 8<1>-8<n>. Two parallel discharging circuits consisting of condensers 4, 5 (capacities C1, C2), an air-core reactor 6, diodes 11, 12 and a switching element 10 are connected to primary side input ends a, b. The condensers 4, 5 are charged by an AC power 1 and a rectifier element 2. From closing the switching element 10 according to an ignition instruction of the thyristor, the condensers 4, 5 are discharged. When setting at C2>C1, there take place a discharge iA large in oscillation period and quick in rise and a discharge iB small in oscillation period and slow in attenuation. Ignitions can now be obtained quickly and simultaneously by the sum thereof.
