Abstract

PURPOSE: To economize space to make the tape driving mechanism small-size and thin, by constituting the tape driving mechanism so that the motor pulley may be pressed to the driving endless belt from the outside of this belt.
CONSTITUTION: Tape driving mechanism 10 is so constituted that driving endless belt 16 may be arranged between a pair of flywheels 14 and 114 and motor pulley 20 of driving motor 18 may be pressed to endless belt 16 from the outside. By this constitution, tape driving mechanism 10 dependent upon this invention is advantageous in respect to space by distance H between motor pulleys 20 and 120 in comparison with the well-known driving mechanism where motor pulley 120 of driving motor 118 is pressed to endless belt from the inside; and if this driving mechanism 10 is installed vertically or horizontally, the height or width is reduced by H, and thus, the driving mechanism is small-size and thin.
