Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the assured checking in a short time by providing the vertical tube part to part of the lead container and then putting the float incorporating the sealed radiation source made possible to move up and down via the measured fluid into the tube part.
CONSTITUTION: Approach tube 12 side of three-way valve 11 is opened at the checking time. The measured fluid is put into taper tube 14 through tube 12 and then exhausted through exit piping 3b from lead-out tube 13 after passing through inside detection room 2. Float 15 incorporating checking sealed radiation source 6 made possible to move up and down is provided into vertical taper tube 14. Thus float 15 rises up to stand still at the position to hit stopper 17. A fixed amount of radiation is irradiated to radiation detector 4 through irradiation hole 9, thus securing the checking of the detection characteristics.
