Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve safety of an autobicycle by constituting a braking device therefor in such a way that front and rear wheels are braked in a harmonized condition upon sudden braking thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Modulators 5, 6 are provided with intermediate pressure oil pipes 3, 4 between a hydraulic cylinder 1 and brake cylibders 7, 8 of front and rear wheels and are connected to an electronic controller 11 over electric lines 12, 13. Thus, signals from sensors 9, 10 for detecting rotational speed of the front and rear wheels are applied to the electronic controller 11 which controls pressure oil which is fed to such cylinders 7, 8 that braking conditions are always kept harmonized between the front and rear wheels. Accordingly, even upon sudden braking, the front and rear wheels are braked in a harmonized condition, thus preventing such an accident that upon braking the autobicycle comes to lose the balance between the front and rear wheels and fall down, and effecting an efficient braking operation which eliminates a dangerous skid, and besides reducing a braking distance of the autobicycle.
