Namely, the 1st data A, A'... are written at addresses a, a'... in the picture memory. Then, the 2nd data B, B'... are written at addresses b, b'... adjoining to addresses a, a'... in the picture memory. In a read from the picture memory, when only the 1st data are stored in the memory, a latch circuit provided at the read side interpolates the data like AAAAA'A'A'A'... and when the memory stores up to the 2nd data, data are interpolated like ABBBA'B'B'B'... to be read out.
