Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the time cycle by providing both a feed line for normal pose stacking and a feed line for inverse pose stacking as a feed conveyor for elongate members.
CONSTITUTION: When a predetermined number of elongate members cut to length after rolling have been transferred from a traverse-feed conveyor 14 onto a feed conveyor 1A, the members are carried rightwards by pinch rollers 4, and stopped by an end-face stopper 13. With the members for the first stage (for example, four members) put on a stacking base 3, the base 3 is lowered by a predetermined span, and a group of members for the second stage are fed similarly. After three- stage stacked, the forth stage is laid upside down; that is, three members for example are transferred to the side of a feed conveyor 1B, carried to the position of the stopper 13, and laid inverted on the third stage by the rotation of a rotary arm 5. Then, normal pose stacking is conducted again.
