Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible controlling of the amount of the offset preventing liquid to be applied to a fixing roller by disposing liquid control members on both sides of the contact feed member of a liquid feed member. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 13 containing offset preventing liquid 12 is disposed near a coating roller 6 and the liquid feed member 14 consisting of a scooping-up member 14a and a contact feed member 14b being pressure-contacted at its bottom end with the roller 6 is disposed between the vessel 13 and the top face of the roller 6. Two liquid control members 19 are fixed by means of fixing means 20 such as bolts and nuts to both sides of the contact feed member 14b so as to sandwich this. The respective bottom ends of the liquid control members 19 contact the roller 6 to control the preventing liquid to be supplied to the peripheral surface of the coating roller as well as to so controll the preventing liquid that it will not droop onto the coating roller and droop onto the fixing roller 1 while the rollers are not in revolution. Thereby, the deposition of a large amount of the preventing liquid on the recording material may be prevented.
