Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a title molded material useful as an electronic parts package or the like with excellent mechanical and thermal properties and mechanical processability or the like, by a method wherein ceramics, a glass powder and a specific organometallic polymer are mixed and the obtained mixture is molded and baked in an oxidative atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: (a) Powdery and particulate materials, flakes, fibers or the like made from ceramics, (b) glass powders and (c) an org. solvent-soluble organometallic polymer containing a titanoxane bond, a zirconoxane bond and a siloxane bond of which most of silicon atoms are bonded to an org. group such as an alkyl group and a phenyl group as a side chain are mixed, if necessary, by adding an org. solvent. Subsequently, the obtained mixture is molded and baked within an oxidative atmosphere to bind part of powdery and particulate material, flakes, fibers or the like made from ceramics by crystallized glass and an objective composite molded material is obtained.
