Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an automobile even with one of its tire being in punctured condition to travel over a long distance by providing a tire with two or more partition walls of predetermined physical properties which partition the interior of the inner tire member to form two or more closed chambers.
CONSTITUTION: An inner tire member B has provided in an inner chamber 8 thereof 4W32 diametrical partition walls 11a which partition the inner chamber 8 in equal circumferential distances to thus form 4W32 closed chambers 8a. The partition walls 11a are made of thermoplastic synthetic resin material such as thermoplastic polyester rubber which has, in normal temperature, tension elastic modules of 200W30,000kg/cm2, tensile strength of 100kg/cm2 or more, and tensile elongation percentage of 20% or more. By the structure, a tire even in its punctured condition thus could bear the load of an automobile by the cushioning of the remaining unpunctured closed chambers of the tire, thus enabling the automobile to travel a substantial distance with a punctured tire.
