Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the process time wihtout use of water dispensing with any equipment for opening, sheet making or the like by molding a mat of the used paper into a required form after it is formed into a sheet impregnated with a resin.
CONSTITUTION: The used paper such as newspapaer is impregnated with a phenol resin solution at a rate of 10W40% with respect to the weight of the used paper without being segmented and then, piled one upon another to a given thickness to form a mat. In the piling of the used paper, paper of superior quality with a larger fiber length and larger elongation percentage is arranged on the finished side while that of inferior quality is on the joint surface. The mat thus formed is heated under pressure to form a core material in a deep drawn form by means of male and female embossed dies 67. The use of the paper of longer fiber allows the forming with a greater strength and in any complicated shape.
