Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for countermeasures against high voltage of each element and make possible resetting of the device with a simple constitution by providing a timer circuit which automatically opens when a power source switch is neglected to be turned off to the primary side of the device. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 2 is turned ON, a DC-DC converter circuit 3 operates to charge a main discharging capacitor 8. At the same time, the voltage of the base winding 5a of an oscillation transformer 5 is rectified by a rectifier part 15 and charges the charging capacitor 22 of a timer circuit 18. Even when the switch 2 is neglected to be turned OFF, a switching element 23 is conducted to let this capacitor discharge and cause an electromagnet 24 to be energized, by which the switch 2 is automatically reset to the OFF position upon reaching of the charging voltage of the capacitor 22 at the specified value after lapse of a fixed time. When the capacitor 8 is charged and a shutter button is pushed prior to discharging of the capacitor 22, synchronizing contacts 12 close and a flash discharge tube 14 emits light, at the same instant of which a switch 25 closes cooperatively to discharge the charged charges of the capacitor 22, thereby returning to the initial state.
