Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a high-reliability unit where the function is maintained during the duration of plant use and maintenance is easy by providing two detection tubes where a floating sphere is inserted to the extension part at the tip, a reversible pump, a differential pressure gauge and a mass spectrograph.
CONSTITUTION: Two detection tubes 1a and 1b where floating spheres 4a and 4b are inserted to extension parts 2a and 2b at the tip, reversible pump 9 connected to them, differential pressure gauges 6 and 7, and mass spectrograph 13 are provided. The tip of detection tube 1a and 1b is arranged, for example, in saucer 14, and pump 9, etc., are arranged outside an atomic pile vessel room etc., and in a place where their maintenance is easy. Pump 9 is switched to normal rotation and reverse rotation periodically, and atmosphere gas is circulated through detection tubes 1a and 1b. When liquid metal 15 is leaked and stored in saucer 14 (the left part in the figure), anomaly is detected by differential pressure gauges 6 and 7, and simultaneously, air sol of liquid metal in suction gas is detected by mass spectrometer 13, thereby confirming leakage.
