Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a device for automatically disposing of burrs which are made when a plastic product such as the lid of a washer is molded, by equipping a hot air feeder which can be moved relativly to a burr-made surface and by equipping a sliding contact member which slides in contact with a heated surface to smooth the burr-made surface.
CONSTITUTION: When a molded lid 23 is put on a setting rest, a timer acts to discharge hot air from the nozzles 10 of hot air feeders 9 and a chain 6 is driven in the direction of an arrow 7 to move the hot air feeders in the same direction. The hot air from the nozzles 10 are blown onto the burr-made edges 23b of the peripheral part 23a of the lid 23 to melt the burrs of the edges. Rollers 20 are then caused by the forces of compressed helical springs 22 to slide in pressural contact with the edges 23b to press the molten burrs. Since the hot air feeders 9 are moved in the direction of the arrow 7, the peripheral part 23a is continuously flattened. At the end of burr disposal, a driving motor is stopped and the lid 23 is removed from the setting rest by a resetting mechanism.
