Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a guide vane protective device which is miniaturized and simple in the structure in such a way that a weak point pin and a brake are installed on control links divided into 2 sheets, and a guide vane control mechanism is sized to be minimum to meet the need.
CONSTITUTION: In the normal operation, guide vane controlling force of a control link 1 is transmitted to a guide vane lever 11. In case where an obstruction 14 is interposed between the guide vane 13, and guide vane controlling force overpasses predetermined amount, a weak point pin 4 is broken, control link 2 and control link 3 make relative motion. Frictional braking force produced by a spring 7 is yielded between the upper surface of the control link 3 and the lower surface of the control link 2, and between a seat 6 and the control link 2, which hampers sudden movement of the guide vane 13, not alone it obviates the guide vane 13 and a stopper from damage, but also it obviates a guide vane 16 from flapping vibration owing to water power.
