Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure easily and accurately the reduction degree of reduced atmospheric gas within each of various kinds of furnaces in a short period of time by detecting the balanced oxygen partial pressure in the reduced atmospheric gas and subjecting the output to an arithmetic operation treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A reduced atmospheric gas is introduced into an oxygen detecting part 3 in a furnace 1 through a probe 2. A part of the gas flowing in the main passage 5 of the oxygen detecting part 3 enters an oxygen detector 6 therough an inlet port 7 by the convection, circulating from an outlet opening 8 through the main passage and being discharged outside by an absorber 4. In order to derive the electromotive force generating from the solid electrolyte element in the oxygen detector 6, the oxygen detector 6 and an operating circuit 14 are connected to each other by means of a lead wire 13, and the output signal of the operating circuit 14 is transmitted to display means 15 and displayed.
