Abstract

PURPOSE: To fetch a discriminating signal from a circuit plate itself without using a stylus, by providing pressure conducting rubber between circuit plates forming the axis X and the axis Y in a tablet which inputs a co-ordinate position of a written point in case of writing a character, a graphic form, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The upper part of a tablet plate is a circuit plate of the face Y consisting of an electrode line group 1A which has arrayed many electrode lines in parallel, and a code converting part 1B', beneath which the face X which has reversed both sides of the face Y and has turned it by 90° is laminated, pressure conducting rubber layers 1, 4 are provided between the electrode line group layers 1, 3a of the face X and the face Y, a point of intersection of the electrode line group of the face X and the electrode line group of the face Y corresponds to a co-ordinate point on the tablet, a signal for driving an electrode is provided from an injecting terminal T, and a signal for detecting a code position is extracted from a signal extracting terminal R. The pressure conducting rubber layer conducts by pushing the tablet by a stylus, the specific electrode lines of the face X and the face Y which are contacting the aforesaid position are coupled, an extracting signal for encoding is received from the terminal R against a time series driving signal from the terminal X, and the co-ordinate position can be informed.
