Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to read out correct information, by performing the position control of the emitted beam depending on the reflection beam from a plurality of multiplex lines in the rotary recording carrier. CONSTITUTION:The unit provides the rotary recording carrier providing two or more types of multiplex lines 20 and 21 having a given slope with the rotating radius of the recording carrier 18 having the record section 19 recording the signal in spiral corresponding to the recording section 19, means 28 emitting beams on the recording carrier 18, means 33 receiving the reflection beam from the carrier 18, and means 35 detecting from which multiplex line the reflection beam from the carrier 18 is obtained. When the means 35 obtains the input from one multiplex line, the emission beam is moved to the rotary center shaft of the carrier 18, and when obtaining the input from another multiplex line, the emission beam is moved to counter rotation shaft of the carrier 18.
