Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably supply a fixed small quantity of a wet granular material, by providing a rapidly rotating screw between a hopper and a table which is rotated synchronously therewith.
CONSTITUTION: A hopper 1 and a table 6 are rotated at the same phase and same rotational frequency of n2. A screw 11 is rapidly rotated at rotational frequency of n1 in the housing 10a of a screw feeder 10 horizontally extending between the hopper and the table. A granular material is static relatively to the hopper 1 except for some granular material which is supplied to the screw feeder 10. A partition plate 4 in particular serves to prevent the movement of the granular material 4. Since the quantity of the wet granular material which enters into the screw feeder 10 per unit time is determined by the rotational frequency of n2 and a cross- sectional area toward the screw feeder independently of the moving properties or rest angle to the granular material, a fixed small quantity of the granular material can be fed.
