Abstract
PURPOSE: To safely and surely remove contaminated material in gas by using simple construction apparatus, by contacting contaminated gas with the adsorbent filled up in the filter bed plurally arranged in transverse direction at a fixed interval in the apparatus by a specified route.
CONSTITUTION: Contaminated gas is introduced 1a in the housing 1 in the condition of stopping the blower and is flowed through the filter bed 6 from the inlet passage 8.... Contaminated substance in the gas is adsorbed by the adsorbent 5... and the gas is purified and then, is discharged 1b in the atmosphere through the outlet passage 9.... Also, on occasion of removing used adsorbent 5, the blower is operated and accumulated adsorbent 5 flowing from the lower end of the discharge chute 10 of the bed 6... to the bottom face side of the receiver 11 by absorbing air, is taken out by absorbing through the duct 12. The adsorbent 5 is removed from the innermost part of the bed 6 among each bed 6 successively, because the lower end of the chute 10 and the bottom face of the receiver 11, are opened larger in the receiver 11 at a fixed rate accompanied by going from the side of the pipe 12 to the inner part of the opposite side of the pipe 12 and operation is smoothly and surely completed without leaving behind only a grain in the bed 6....
