Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain such dynamo as is minimized for resistance at running and also free from marring tires by a method wherein a permanent magnet constituting a part of the dynamo is provided on a driving gear, and a generating coil is provided at the position subjected to the permanent magnet action. CONSTITUTION:A crankshaft 2 is inserted in a hanger rack 1 of a bicycle, cranks 5, 6 provided with pedals 3, 4 rotatably are fixed on both ends of the crankshaft, and a driving gear 7 is mounted on one end side thereof. Then, a permanent magnet material 9 is provided uniformly on the inner periphery of a radial stay 7a of the driving gear 7, and a yoke unit 10 and a generating coil 11 are provided at the position subjected to an action of the permanent magnet material 9, i.e. on the side of hanger rack 1. Then, a head lamp is connected to the generating coil 11 through a rectifier and a switch, and an arrangement is such that a storage battery is charged by changing the swtich when the head lamp is out of service in the daytime.
