Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [X is bifunctional aliphatic chain; Y is formula II or III (R and R1 are H, alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, or hydroxyalkyl groups; Z is alkali metal or ammonium group; m and n are positive integers; Y' is H or aminoalkyl group); M is alkali metal or ammonium group].
USE: A nonmedical exterminator against injurious organism; germicide, insecticide, acaricide, herbicide, plant growth regulator, and slime control agent.
PROCESS: A polyamine is reacted with CS2 in a solvent comprising sulfonic, sulfurous, or sulfuric acid in water, an alcohol, DMF, or DMSO, and neutralized with an alkali or ammonia to give the compound of formula I.
