Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the decorative plate of the sharp undulated patterns by spraying sand on the surface of a plate material having undulated patterns, giving virations thereto to gather sand at the pattern recesses and coating paint over the entire surface of the undulated patterns.
CONSTITUTION: A plate material having undulated patterns 1, e.g., a slate plate 2, is conveyed by a conveyor 6 and sand 3 is sprayed on its surface by a sand sprayer 7 above the same. Next, this is fed to a vibration-giving conveyor 8 and is vibrated by a conveyor belt 10 which is vibrated by the revolutions of a rotator 9 of approximately elliptic form, to gather the sand 3 in the recesses 4. Next, this is fed below a curtain flow coater 13, where paint 5 is coated over the entire surface of the undulated patterns 1, whereby the undulated decorative plate A is formed. Inorganic paints are used for the paint 5 and are given fireproofness so that the plate is made usable for exterior material. The sand 3 gathered here is integrated with the paint 5 as the paint 5 sets.
