Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate and remove silica and other harmful elements effectively by a simple method wherein ultrasonic vibration with a specific frequency is imparted to underground water.
CONSTITUTION: To underground water containing silica and harmful elements (arsenic, mercury or the like), the ultrasonic vibration of 22W38kHz is imparted in a temp. range of 50°C to b.p. to separate and remove the above described harmful components. The above described treatment is carried out in such a condition that a metal salt is necessarily present within a solution (a condition that ion of a metal salt is present within a solution during reaction) and, when a metal salt is not present in underground water to be treated, the said treatment is necessarily carried out after a metal salt is added.
