Abstract

PURPOSE: To attach paints on the end surfaces cut uniformly while adjusting the quantity of application by changing the pressure of air by a method wherein the upper flanks of a disc for application and the cut end surfaces of a board material are contacted blowing air against the upper flanks of the disc.
CONSTITUTION: When a board material 3 such as asbestos cement tile is fed by means of a conveyor 5 while a disc 2 for application is rotated and driven, paints adhere to the disc 2 in a lower paint reservoir 1, and the paints are applied on the cut end surfaces 4 of the board material 3 contacted with the upper flanks 2a of the disc 2. Air jetted from the jet holes of air feed pipes 19 is blown against the disc 2 at the same time. Thus, the quantity of the paints applied can be equalized while the quantity of application can be regulated by changing the pressure of air.
