Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the durability of an oilfence and to reduce the critical area thereof by a method wherein the oilfence is floated and sunk by charging air in and exhausting it from a tube-like float, while the oilfence, being turned together with a horizontally-rotating table, is also rotated around a trunnion.
CONSTITUTION: A float-and-sink type oilfence 1 consists of a belt-like sheet 1a and a tube-like float 1b. A single-point mooring buoy 2 has a horizontally-rotating table 2b pivoted on the main body 2a of the buoy, while on the upper face of the table is fixed a crevice-like bracket 2c. Moreover, at one end of the oilfence 1 is provided a connecting means constituted by a trunnion 1e piercing through a holding metal fitting 1d. The trunnion 1e is projected through a slot 2d provided on the side wall of the bracket 2c and the tip thereof is fitted with a nut 5, thereby the one end part of the olfence 1 being fitted to the rotating table 2b.
