Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a baking type sound-proof paint which is excellent in sound proofness, impact resistance, rust proofness, chipping resistance, etc., and also free of sagging on vertical and back sides upon baking from a sludge composed mainly of a specific vehicle, a specific filler, and phosphoric acid.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of a vehicle (A), consisting of 30W80wt% styrene- butadiene rubber (a), 10W60wt% rosin and/or a petrolem resin (b), and 10W 60wt% petroleum softening agent (c) of a viscosity-specific gravity constant of 0.8W1.0, is mixed with 5W40pts.wt. of an epoxy ester resin (B), 130W250pts.wt. of a filler (C), e.g., talc, fibrous single crystal of insoluble gypsum, etc., 20W 200pts.wt. of a sludge (D) with 10wt% or less water-soluble content, consisting mainly of zinc phosphate, iron phsphate, and free phosphoric acid, as recovered from phosphate-treated liquids, and 0.5W10pts.wt. of a vulcanizing agent (E) selected from sulfur, organic peroxides of a decomposition temperature (equivalent to 1min half-life) of 100W170°C, etc.
