Abstract
PURPOSE:To smoothly start a synchronous motor dynamo, by providing a means for reducing the field current in starting thyristors by a high voltage synchronization system and for eliminating a field current instruction at a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:When a synchronous motor dynamo 9 is started as a synchronous motor, circuit breakers 17, 19 and a disconnecting switch 14 on the side of the motor are closed. Gate pulses are applied to a thyristor converter 1 through a speed control circuit 7, a current control circuit 6 and a gate circuit 4 in accordance with an instruction from a run instruction unit 8. Pulses are applied in prescribed phase order to another thyristor converter 2 from a gate circuit 5 to start the motor dynamo 9. A starting control circuit 101 is provided to apply a field current reducing instruction to an exciter 12 in starting and count the number of times of output of a current restriction circuit 24 after the starting. When the counted number reaches a prescribed value, the field current reducing instruction is eliminated.
