Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain ignition advance angle characteristics of an internal combustion engine with a portion of an air intake branched to produce a turbulent flow in the combustion chamber, at optimum by advancing an ignition timing in the neighborhood of a full load.
CONSTITUTION: A curve representing required advance angle characteristics is memorized by ROM 30 in advance, and by detecting a revolving speed of an engine, and an air intake pressure as a load, and reading the ignition advance angle corresponding to these values from ROM 30, the ignition advance angle is controlled according to these read values. Namely, the ignition advance angle read from ROM 30 is fed to a igniting device 44 as an input thereby generating a spark at a plug. By means of an output from ROM 30 an ignition timing is advanced in the neighborhood of a full load.
