Abstract

PURPOSE:To design various fluid resistance as desired, by means that the upper and lower faces of a cylinder are outwardly inclined to give conical face and the cylinder is provided with many channels formed radially in the cylinder wall and extending axially in both the inside and outside faces. CONSTITUTION:A vibro-isolating support including a cylinder 1 made of elastic rubber has an upper fitting 2 with a bolt 2a on it and a lower fitting 3 with holes 3a. An aperture 4 is formed through the fitting 3 to communicate the vacant space 1a of the cylinder 1 with a room 5a which appears between the fitting 3 and elastic rubber enclosure 6 partially including a sheet like rubber 5. As both the upper and lower rims of the cylinder wall are inclined outwardly to form a conical outline, the fittings 2, 3 are bent inwards to make conical slopes 2b, 3b, whereby conforming with their respective conical outlines. The thick wall cylinder 1 is notched longitudinally in both the internal and external surfaces to give many channels 10, 11 extending axially of the cylinder.
