Abstract

PURPOSE: To attract a printing type onto a type bar without bending and make it print and return to a type board by providing a motor at an end part and rotating the type bar composed of an electromagnet at the time when it goes away from the type board and just after printing.

CONSTITUTION: When a printing key 1 is pushed down, the other end 2 is lifted and, pushing up a crank, rotates a wheel 4. Brushes A' and B' slide on current- interrupting bands C and D. When the brush A' comes to the point 12, the current flows from A to an electromagnet 5, whereby the electromagnet being excited and a printing type 9 being attracted onto the concave 11' of a type bar 11. As for the brush B', the current starts flowing when the brush B' is found at the point 13, and further flows through B to a motor 7, rotating the bar 11 by 180°. After printing, at the pint 14, plus and minus is converted, thereby the motor 7 being rotated and the bar 11 being rotated resultingly by 180°. When the printing key is released, the bar 11 lowers and returns onto the type board 10. As for the brush A', plus and minus is converted when it comes to the point 15, and the magnet 5, repulsing the printing type 9, returns the same onto the type board 10. Brushes A' and B' are discharged at the point 16.
