Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible simultaneous forming of the eye parts at both ends of a spring plate and improve its dimensional accuracy by rotating and moving forward die members and winding the end of the spring plate around the core metal disposed to the other side of the spring plate.

CONSTITUTION: A spring plate (a) is so disposed that the plate ends exist between a core metal 3 and die member 5 and supported by the core metal 3 and that its central part is supported to a pedestal 2. A pin 1 is fitted into a center hole (b). In this intial state, the leading end of the tongue part 8 of the die member 5 is in approximate contact with the top surface of the spring plate and a small spacing (t) is formed between the end face 9 of the member 5 and the top surface of the spring plate (a). When the member 5 is turned clockwise about the core metal 3, the spring plate (a) is curved along the outside circumference of the core metal 3 as the tongue part 8 is pressure-contacted. When the member 5 is turned by the angle α, the tongue part 8 end approaches to the bottom surface of the spring plate (a) and the plate end becomes approximately cylindrical. Here, the member 5 is advanced toward the core metal 3 by operating a driving part 6 and the member 5 is further turned clockwise suitably by an angle β.
