CONSTITUTION:Conversion between a picture element of a XY rectangular coordinate display unit and that of a polar coordinate display unit comes into effect by using the 1st position assigning circuit 13 and the 2nd position assigning circuir 14. Then, the 1st position assigning circuit 13 is stored with the picture element position on the polar coordinate display screen corresponding to the reference position of scanning lines of the XY rectangular coordinate display unit, and the 2nd position assigning circuit 14 with the shift of the picture element position of the polar coordinate display unit according to a scan on picture elements of the XY rectangular coordinate display unit.
