Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a simple, effective vibration absorber by the method wherein weights are fitted on one end of a plurality of plate springs placed one on top of another so as to produce sliding friction, and their other end is fitted between a vibration generator, such as an internal combustion engine, and its support. CONSTITUTION:One end of a plurality of plte springs 25, aplaced one on top of another, is inserted between internal combustion engine 21 and its support 22 and fastened by bolt 23 and nut 24. A plurality of weight 26, placed one on top of another are fastened to its other end by means of bolt 27 and nut 28. The mass of weights 26, the spring constant of plate springs 25 and the coefficient of sliding friction between plate springs 25 can be adjusted respectively by the number of weights to be piled, the fitting position of weights 26 and the fastening force of bolt 30 and nut 31. Consequently, by this system, it is possible to obtain an absorber capable of absorbing large vibration by means of an extremely simple structure.
