Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the test for the network control unit without visiting the subscriber's home by realizing the remote test method for the bracketing test function of the network control unit through the telephone office. CONSTITUTION:Both false terminal call signal S1 and test signal S2 sent from test unit 60 are piled onto telephone circuit 20 after exchange caught circuit 20, and then the polarity of circuit 20 is inverted. At network control unit 40, signals S1 and S2 are detected through signal detection circuits 421 and 423 to generate output pulses b and c. Connection control circuit 44 turns on test reply circuit 45 via the logic product of pulses b and c. As a result, the return loop is formed within unit 40, and thus DC current e flows to circuit 20. Thus driving current f flows to LEDD1 of circuit 60 to give light emission to LEDD1. At the same time, the output pulse is generated from detection circuit 423 in the state under which only signal S2 is transmitted to unit 40 from circuit 60. However, circuits 45 and 431 are turned off by circuit 44, and thus no return loop is formed. Accordingly, no driving current flows to LEDD1.
