Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a comfortable living space by a method wherein a ventilation line is formed through the attic, living space, and the zone under the floor, and ventilation is conducted according to a U-shaped convection pattern in winter and to a Y-shaped convection pattern in summer.

CONSTITUTION: In winter, since warm air from heaters 9, 9' flows upward, outside air is sucked in from the attic 5 through the under-the-floor zone 13 and ventilation ports 7, 7' by a ventilating means 4. The warm air flows through living rooms 10, 10' and ventilation ports 8, 8', escapes into the attic 5, and is discharged into the outside air. The heat escaping through the interior wall 1 to the exterior peripheral wall exchanges heat with the outside air flowing down along the wall at a hollow layer 3, so that the heat is partly recovered. In summer, the outside air introduced into the zone 13 by a ventilating means 6 contacts cool-air heat accumulating members 14 to be cooled, flows into the rooms 10, 10' through the ports 7, 7', and is flowed into the attic 5 through a ventilation port 12. Thus, comfortable living rooms 10 and 10' can be obtained.
