Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent sand-piling below the back of a gate body by a system wherein the stand angle of the gate body is set to be obtuse and a flow-regulating board curved outward is provided to lead the overflowing water flowing down along the inclined back of the gate body to the lower part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A gate body 1 rotating arround a support line 6 in the longitudinal direction is rotated to be in a lying state, and in the last standing state, the back 5 thereof is set to keep a obtuse angle against the lying position. To the bottom part of the back 5 of the gate body is fitted a flow-regulating board 7, curved outward so as to lead the overflowing water to the lower course of a stream. By this the overflowing water tends to flow down along the inclined back 5 adhesively thereto because of its absorptive property, and in addition, being shifted in direction by the flow-regulating board 7 in the down-stream, flows with force down to the bottom part of the back of the gate body, thereby the sand and other solid bodies not being allowed to pile in the bottom part and being carried away toward the lower course of the stream.
