Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to project good pictures by providing a scanning speed set circuit which can set a scanning speed optimum to a desired information density, a display visual field switch which changes the size of a displayed picture, an operation circuit, and an automatic light exposure control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Since the information density in appearance for a reduced and displayed picture is proportional inversely to the reduction rate of the area, the reciprocal of the reduction rate outputted from display visual field size switch 13 is inputted to input terminals IN1 and IN2 of multiplier 14 to calculate the square of the reciprocal of the reduction rate. The information density in appearance displayed on CRT6 is calculated on a basis of the selected display visual field size by multiplying the output of multiplier 14 and the output of information density set switch 8 in multiplier 15, and the output of multiplier 15 is inputted to automatic light exposure circuit 11, thus performing immediately brightness adjustment matched to the information density in appearance of the reduced image.
