Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the size and weight of an entire device and facilitate easy installation on a pipe, by assembling a pair of detachable casing halves to form a casing and fitting each of the casing halves with an opening/closing valve and a fixed flow rate valve.
CONSTITUTION: A spherical valve member 5 is provided in a casing half 4 so that the valve member can be rotated about the axis of said valve member by means of a valve stem 6. An opening/closing valve 2 is thus constructed. A valve member 9 is supported in a cylindrical casing half 8 in such a fashion that the valve member 9 can be displaced in the direction of the flow passage. A fixed flow rate valve 3 is thus constructed. The flanges 4a, 8a of the casing halves 4, 8 of both valves are directly coupled to each other so that a desired valve device is constituted. When the opening/closing valve 2 is open and the flow of a fluid having passed through a through-hole 5a is a steady flow the fluid flows out of an outlet port 10 through an orifice 15 of the fixed flow rate valve 3, thus allowing said fluid to flow out of the valve 3 as a steady flow. When the fluid flow increases, the cross-sectional area of the orifice 15 is reduced by the displacement of the valve member 9 toward the downstream side to keep the flow rate constant.
