Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the control system extremely readily by constituting the revolution tracking control system in the sun tracking device by the cam which is so shaped as to track the revolution of the earth and the roller making contact with the cam.
CONSTITUTION: The angle δ that the axis 1 inclining to the north by the latitude ϕ of that point of the south-north line and being parallel to the earth's axis and an arm 3 assume needs correction because the altitude of the sun T changes little by little. So, the heart-shape cam 32 and roller 29 respectively mounted to the axis 1 and arm 3 are held always contacted by the pulling force of a spring 34. As the cam 32 revolves and when the distance between the point 33 and roller 29 changes, the arm 3 rotates about the point 2. When the cam 32 makes 1 turn in a year, the position of the point 4 makes one reciprocation between the points 23, 24 like the movement of the sun and therefore once the position of the point 4 is correctly set, the revolution tracking of the sun T may be accomplished by the one-year one-turn of the cam 32. In this way, the control system becomes simple.
