Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure a highly efficient amplification for the TV video modulation signal by switching the action points of the amplifier circuit according to the sections of the input signals and then amplifying those action points. CONSTITUTION:The TV video modulation signal is applied to the base of main transistor Tr8, and the output is drawn out from the collector. Switching Tr16 plus switch 18 are provided at base bias feeder terminal 7 of Tr8 to secure switching of the action points for the amplifier. Tr8 and 16 are the NPN-type Tr's of the same conducting property. When switch 18 is turned on and off at the synchronous section 14 and video section 15 respectively of the video modulation signals, the action points of Tr8 switch the base bias between C-, A- or AB-class each. The C-class amplification is given to section 14, and section 15 is given operation of A- or AB-class featuring a high linearity. As a result, the operation is secured at a high output point, thus ensuring a highly efficient power amplification.
