Abstract
PURPOSE: Title controller that contains iodopropargyl derivatives including novel compounds as the effective ingredient, thus showing not only moldicidal but also algacidal activities.
CONSTITUTION: Said controller contains a compound of formula I (R is 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy), such as 3-acetoxy-1-iodo-1-propyne, as the effective ingredient. The compounds of formula I except the above example are novel. The compound of formula I is prepared by the reaction of an alcohol derivative of formula II with an acid halide of formula III (X is halogen) or haloformate ester.
