Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize reduced scale operation by preventing the blowing-through by the procedure in which a furnace index of blowing-through is obtained from blast furnace model during reduced scale blowing-down operation, a limited air blowing at which the index does not exceed a fixed value is obtained for each reduced scale process, and then air sending is performed. CONSTITUTION:By using a model to grasp the dynamic behavior of blast furnace during reduced scale operation, the furnace distribution of blowing-through index is obtained from a balance between pressure loss and charging load at each portion of furnace, and then limited air blowing amount at which the blowing-through index does not exceed a fixed value is obtained for each reduced scale process. Then, air blowing is made at less than the limited air blowing amount obtained according to reduced scale operation condition. Thus, smooth reduced scale blowing-down operation can be performed without causing blowing-through of air in the final period of operation.
