Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size and weight of an automatic voltage regulator having a voltage setting unit consisting of a digital counter and a D/A converter and the like.
CONSTITUTION: When a semiconductor voltage setting unit 30 closes its contact 33, or 34, the output from a V/F converter 32 is applied to the addition input INC or subtraction input DEC of a BCD counter 35. The output of the counter 35 is applied through a D/A converter 36 to an operational amplifier 17, which produces the deviation signal between the voltage of a generator and a standard voltage to a field amplifier 25. A field tracing unit 19 closes the contact 43a or 44a of a manual semiconductor voltage setting unit 50 in response to the deviation signal to apply a pulse to the addition input INC or subtraction input DEC of a counter 53. The output of the counter 53 is applied through a D/A converter 54 to the amplifier 25. The output of the amplifier 25 is applied through a firing unit 26 to an excitation thyristor amplifiers 27.
